THAI Winter Program Announced
BANGKOK: Thai Airways International (THAI) has announced its new Winter Program, which will be in effect from October 25, 1998 to March 27, 1999. The carrier will maintain its flight frequencies on Northern Pacific routes, including seven flights per week on the Bangkok-Osaka-Los Angeles route. The total number of weekly flights operated between the Kingdom and Europe will be increased from 39 to 47. Daytime flights on the Bangkok-London route have been introduced, as has increased frequency on the Bangkok-Paris route. THAI will also fly direct between Bangkok and Stockholm three times per week. The airline announced that due to the present economic situation flight operations into and out of Amsterdam have been suspended. On Australasian routes, THAI has suspended flight operations on its Bangkok-Jakarta-Sydney route, but still maintains flights to Perth, Brisbane, Melbourne and Auckland. Twice-weekly operations on the Phuket-Taipei-Seoul route have also been announced. On its domestic schedule, THAI has increased the frequency of flights between Phuket and Bangkok from 64 to 79 per week.
