Public invited to IBAP luncheon

PHUKET TOWN: In keeping with its policies on transparency, the International Business Association of Phuket (IBAP) is inviting the general public to attend its inaugural meeting next week. The event, a luncheon beginning at noon on Tuesday, September 26, at Royal Phuket City, will feature brief speeches by Dr Prasit Koysiripong, president of the Phuket Provincial Administration Organization; Khun Piriya Tantipiriyakij, managing director of the Muang Mai Group; and Ron Endley, Chairman of the Joint Foreign Chambers of Commerce of Thailand. The charge for attendance at the luncheon is 400 baht for IBAP members, and 500 baht for non-members. The meeting will be followed by a press conference at 2 pm. The IBAP urges all those who wish to attend the luncheon – members and non-members alike – to contact Anders Palm at ibap@phuketgazette.net, or by telephone to 344022. The IBAP was established four months ago to bring together Thai and foreign business people with a view toward stimulating increased trade and investment in Phuket.
