Popular British International School access road temporarily closed

PHUKET: Popular British International School access road Soi Koh Kaew 33, behind the Isuzu showroom, will be closed from today until November 30.

The road was originally closed in late July, after nearly half of its width had fallen into a parallel drainage ditch. The Koh Kaew Tambon Administration Organization (OrBorTor) was then forced to build a new retaining wall (story here).

Following the construction of the wall last month, the road was temporarily re-opened (story here).

“However, we need to close it again to finish the road-surface repairs,” said Apichart Deekongsiang, the chief engineer of the Koh Kaew OrBorTor.

“We factored in unexpected delays and rain when we established the deadline. So, barring those incidents, we should finish ahead of schedule,” said Mr Apichart. “We apologize for any inconvenience.”
