Phuket Town to suffer more water shutoffs

PHUKET: The mains water supply will be shut off throughout most of Phuket Town for two nights, starting tonight, so that Phuket City Municipality workers can install larger pipes to serve the growing town.
Water supply will be shut off at 8pm and restored at 5am on Wednesday.
The second shutoff will see water supply cut from 8pm Wednesday through 5am Thursday.
“We expect to complete the installation of the new mains over the two nights. After that, there should not be any more major water shutoffs for the time being,” a municipality staffer told the Phuket Gazette this morning.
For more information, call the Phuket City Municipality Water Supply Office at 076-211130 or 09-94874038.
