Man found dead in Burmese Cemetery

RASSADA: A man, thought to be Burmese and about 30 years old, was found dead yesterday at Klong Tah Jeen, near Choke Raft, in an area long known as the Burmese Cemetery because of the number of murder victims dumped there.
Pol Sub-Lt Teeradat Jiragsa of Phuket City Police Station explained that the victim, who was about 165cm tall and dark-skinned and was wearing a red T-shirt with long dark blue trousers, had wounds to the neck and upper left arm, apparently inflicted by something sharp.
He said, “He seems to be Burmese and had been dead five or six hours before we found him [at 4 pm]. We are treating his death as a murder case or a boat accident and are waiting for relatives to contact us.”
The body is now undergoing an autopsy at Wachira Phuket Hospital. The cause of death should be known within a week.
