Lighthouse Market fully booked at Boat Lagoon – join the fun

PHUKET: All available space for the inaugural Lighthouse Market at the Boat Lagoon is sold, bringing the island two nights of quality shopping, food and fun from about 60 vendors.

The fun gets underway at 3pm on Saturday and continues until the close at 9pm, returning at the same time on Sunday for five more hours of festivities.

Live performances, including music, will take to the stage on one of the marina’s yachts, which will function as the center stage for activities along the boardwalk. On the walkway itself, there will be a variety of buskers to entertain visitors.

“This is a market for everyone who enjoys quality – both expats and local Thais,” explained Kanittha Prasopsirikul from ‘By Kanittha’, the company behind the new market.

“There will be an airshow put on by the Phuket Gazette, as well as a lighthouse tour with a stunning view of the east coast – giving visitors the chance to make a special wish.”

The festival is designed to combine the wonders of traditional Thai markets, seen throughout the Kingdom, with the class and quality of the Boat Lagoon, Ms Kanittha explained.

“It’s a place to be with your kids, friends or significant other and then head out into the night,” she said.

In the future, the market will be held on the last weekend of every month, with a break during the annual southwest monsoon season.
