FC Phuket accept 5-2 loss

PHUKET – Quote of the day: “If we have to travel [to Bangkok FC] to play a mere six minutes, I think it will be an non beneficial waste of expense…and so we’ve made an official report stating this reason as why we won’t travel to play the rest of the game…and are ready to accept the loss with the score as is, or however [Thai Premier League] officials see fit.”

Naruebeth “Sia Lek” Ayupong, FC Phuket director evidently, is not confident his team can score a goal a minute to earn 3 points. Their game against Bangkok FC in April was cancelled due to a storm, with 6 minutes remaining. Until today, a decision had not been reached, oddly enough, as to when and where those 6 minutes should be played.
