Deadline for Phuket’s ‘yellow pages’
PHUKET: Businesses wishing to appear in the 2010 Gazette Guide, Phuket’s ‘yellow pages’, have until 6pm on Thursday, November 12, to enter (or update) their listings. Businesses entered after that date will appear in the Gazette Guide Online only – not in the hard-copy book.
Businesses who have entered or updated their listings over the past six months need do nothing further, as publication – on line and in the hard-copy book – is assured.
Listings, which are for Phuket, Phang-nga, Krabi and Samui businesses only, can be entered (or updated) here. (Listings cannot be entered or altered in any way by Gazette staff.)
“Stale” listings, i.e., those which have not been updated for a period of 24 months, will be deleted automatically from the Guide database on Saturday, November 14.
As always, basic listings in the Gazette Guide are free of charge. Premium features, such as bold typefaces, extra business categories, web links and maps, are available at a nominal charge. The deadline for payment for such features is 12 noon on Tuesday, November 17.
The first annual hard-copy Gazette Guide was released in 1996. The 2010 edition, due out mid-January, will set a record with details of roughly 4,600 Phuket businesses serving the international community.
Based on its sales this year, the book for 2010 will be in the homes and/or offices of more than 5,000 local residents, and in the guest rooms of at least nine of Phuket’s leading (4- and 5-star) resorts and hotels.
