Body found at sea presumed to be missing cook

PHUKET: Earlier today, Marine police found what they suspect is the body of the last victim from the Choke Somboon 19 dive boat accident in which seven people went missing on March 8 when the vessel capsized during a storm about 12 miles off the coast of Phuket.

Having found and identified the bodies of six missing tourists who were on the boat when it sank, police believe they have now found the body of the last victim, the boat’s cook, a male Thai national.

The body was discovered during air and sea search operations at 1pm today and the Department of Disaster Prevention & Mitigation is now working to confirm the identity of the victim.
