Battle against rising prices continues with Blue Flag Fair in Phuket Town

PHUKET: The Department of Internal Trade (DIT-Phuket) kicked off its latest “Blue Flag Fair” in Phuket Town this afternoon.
DIT-Phuket chief Supacha Bunthalit said the three-day event will feature 150 booths offering a wide variety of consumer goods at below normal market prices, including food products, garments, sheets, bedding and much more.
The event is being held in the Mazda Field, behind the Mazda Showroom on Anuphas Phuket Karn Road in Phuket Town.
The best deals will be on government-subsidized consumer staples including pork, chicken, eggs, rice and sugar. These will go on sale on a first-come, first-served basis each day of the fair from 11:30am to 12:30pm, and again from 5pm to 6pm.
“This will be a much larger fair than the last one at Saphan Hin,” Ms Bunthalit told the Phuket Gazette.
