BISP Cruzeiro Football Academy spend summer in Brazil
PHUKET: This summer, eight boys from the BISP Cruzeiro Football Academy, based at British International School Phuket (BISP), trained at the home of Brazilian champions Cruzeiro EC to learn about the facilities, watch training sessions and meet the players.
Cruzeiro International Development Coordinator Adriano Queiroz explained that the Phuket-based student-athletes were invited to spend a month in Brazil where they participated in various activities in the city of Belo Horizonte, home of Cruzeiro EC.
“These athletes are part of the Cruizeiro Academy program in Thailand, where they train with our methodology,” explained Mr Queiroz. “This summer these boys came to Belo Horizonte to experience everything that is currently happening in our club.”
“It has been a great opportunity for them to meet with and learn from our professional players, the president, and everyone associated with the club,” Mr Queiroz added.
The BISP Cruzeiro Football Academy was established in August 2014 as a partnership between Cruzeiro EC and British International School Phuket. The agreement has already seen great results, including winning gold in three different categories at the 13th edition of the BISP Soccer Sevens, held in November last year.
