Phang Nga trips to Similan Islands cancelled on October 26

Wow Andaman Pier in Phang Nga which is the pier tourists, especially Chinese and Europeans, use to go to Similan Islands, announced today (October 25) they will be closed tomorrow, the Royal Cremation Day, to allow their staff to join the ceremony as attendees and volunteers.
“We would like to announce to all tourists that Wow Andaman, will close for one day tomorrow to allow 50 of our staff and executives to join the Royal Cremation. So far, we have informed tourists who were expected to travel to the pier via social media, tour agents and hotels and we will reopen again on October 27. Many tour companies are also preparing for this, too,” said Lertsak Ponklin, the company manager.
Meanwhile, Chief of Similan Islands National Park said that there is no letter from the Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation to close down the national parks but a lot less Thai tourists are expected to be touring on October 26.
