New direct route to Phuket from Korat – NewGen Airways
Every week it seems that there are more and more direct flights to Phuket, both domestic and international. While it’s a by-product of the growing numbers of tourists coming to the island it also provides locals more chances to get off the ‘rock’ from time to time, flying direct to more places on the map.
Now we can fly to Korat direct. Nakhon Ratchasima Governor, Wichian Chantharanotai, along with his team flew on the first ever direct flight to Phuket yesterday (December 3) to officially open the new route.
The new direct route connects the two destinations and starts after the Nakhon Ratchasima International Airport was officially opened. Tickets will cost a maximum of 1,500 Baht per trip.
The team from Nakhon Ratchasima was welcomed by Phuket’s Vice Governor, Prakob Wongmaneerung, Director of Phuket Provincial Office of Tourism and Sports, Sirawee Waloh, and other Phuket officials.
The opening of new route aims to promote the Amazing Thailand Tourism Year 2018 as well as the tourism in the Nakhon Ratchasima province. The direct route is operated by NewGen Airways and is available daily at 3pm.
