National artist Chalermchai Kositpipat turns impromptu photographer at Rong Khun Temple
A delightful incident unfolded at Rong Khun Temple in Chiang Rai, where a foreign couple sought help for a souvenir photo from Thailand national artist Chalermchai Kositpipat.
The couple unknowingly asked Chalermchai, National Artist in Visual Arts (Painting), donned in full motorcycling gear, to capture their moment. The artist obliged, capturing their moment in front of the temple he had created.
The TikTok clip, posted by @endurobasecamp, sparked numerous comments, with many appreciating the artist’s humble demeanour and his trendy motorcycling gear.
Chalermchai Kositpipat, a national artist known for his paintings, was casually wandering around Rong Khun Temple in Chiang Rai. An unsuspecting foreign couple, visiting the temple, requested him to take a picture of them, unaware of his identity.
Chalermchai, dressed in full motorbike gear, graciously accepted their request. The charming incident was captured and shared on TikTok, attracting a wave of comments.
Some praised the artist’s down-to-earth nature, while others admired his cool motorcyclist look, reported Sanook.
