Gold prices in Thailand surge, prompting investor action

Gold prices showed significant movement today, with the Gold Traders Association (GTA) announcing five adjustments resulting in a notable increase. Gold ornaments are selling at 44,550 baht per baht weight. This surge of 400 baht is compared to yesterday’s closing price.

In the latest update posted at 10.04am, today, November 6, domestic gold bars were being bought at 43,950 baht per baht weight and sold at 44,050 baht, according to the association’s fifth announcement of the day. The fluctuating prices have prompted a call for quick decision-making among traders and investors.

Today, gold prices spiked after a sharp decline, compared to the last price yesterday. Gold ornaments with 96.5% purity are being bought at 43,160.52 baht per baht weight and sold at 44,550 baht. Meanwhile, the global gold price or Gold Spot sits at 2,738.00 US dollars per ounce.

The gold market today witnessed several changes. The fifth announcement reflected that gold bars were being bought at 43,950 baht and sold at 44,050 baht per baht weight.

Gold ornaments were purchased at 43,160.52 baht and sold at 44,550 baht. Earlier, in the fourth announcement, gold bars saw a buying price of 43,900 baht and a selling price of 44,000 baht. Ornaments were being bought at 43,115.04 baht and sold at 44,500 baht.

During the third announcement, the rates for gold bars were consistent with the fifth update, being bought at 43,950 baht and sold at 44,050 baht. Gold ornaments also remained steady, with a buying price of 43,160.52 baht and a selling price of 44,550 baht. The second announcement had gold bars priced at 43,900 baht for buying and 44,000 baht for selling, while gold ornaments were bought at 43,115.04 baht and sold at 44,500 baht, reported KhaoSod.

The day’s first announcement recorded the buying price for gold bars at 43,850 baht and the selling price at 43,950 baht. Gold ornaments were bought at 43,054.4 baht and sold at 44,450 baht.
