The Isuzu pick-up truck, carrying the family of four, veered off the road and rolled over several times. In the incident, Pimpa, a resident of Si Sa Ket Province, was thrown from the pickup truck and crushed, leading to her untimely demise at the scene. Suriya, who was found sitting beside his mother’s lifeless body, suffered minor injuries.

Three other individuals were also injured in the crash, including Suriya’s wife and their 10 year old son. They were promptly transported to Suwannaphum Hospital by the local rescue unit. The family was returning from Roi Et Province with gifts from relatives and several bundles of thatched grass.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Udomsak Salajun, the investigating officer at Suwannaphum Police Station gave a statement.

“Before the incident, Suriya was driving his mother, his wife, and his child from a relative’s ordination ceremony in Roi Et Province.
