Caught in the act: Man arrested for luring women into online porn

Police arrested a 20 year old Thai man in the northern province of Lamphun for tricking women, the youngest as young as 12, into making porn and selling explicit content online.

Police Cyber Taskforce (PCT) officers acted on a tip-off and investigated a Telegram account sharing explicit videos of several women until they managed to arrest the suspect, 20 year old degenerate, Paramate. He is a junior student at a university and was arrested at his home in the Mae Ta district of Lamphun.

Paramate admitted to being the owner of the Telegram account and handed over his mobile phone to officers for further investigation. Officers found numerous videos and pictures of Paramate engaged in sexual activities with more than 20 women.

Paramate confessed to updating more than 200 explicit pictures and videos in a secret group on the Telegram application. To access the content, his followers had to pay 100-120 baht for membership. The group had about 300 members, earning him about 25,000 baht.

According to PCT officials, the youngest victim found in the explicit content was only 12 years old. The girl was lured into giving Paramate oral sex in a public bathroom.

Paramate faces charges including:

• Section 287 of the Criminal Law: producing, possessing, importing, exporting, or distributing indecent documents, paintings, publications, pictures, advertisements, photos, films, voice records, or others. The penalty will be imprisonment of up to three years, a fine of up to 60,000 baht, or both.
• Section 14(4) of the Computer Act: importing indecent information into the computer system which the public is likely to access. The penalty will be imprisonment of up to five years and a fine of up to 100,000 baht.

In a related report, two Thai men were arrested in January for distributing child pornography. One of them set up a group to distribute child pornography and invited 15,000 members to pay him for the explicit content.

Another man was caught sexually abusing his daughter and distributing explicit videos and pictures of her and others online.

In a major crackdown in April, police arrested 12 Thai porn stars after they were caught making pornography for sale on Twitter. Some were creating explicit content for extra income, while others were full-time sex creators.
