Barefaced bandit: Naked thief strips Rayong office of 200,000 baht
An owner of an office building in the eastern province of Rayong urged swift police action after a naked thief robbed his office twice, resulting in damages and losses exceeding 200,000 baht.
The victim, Paisit Jiam-anukunkit, filed a theft complaint at Mueang Rayong Police Station and shared his story with news agencies, hoping to frighten the thief and hasten an arrest. Paisit explained that the thefts occurred on October 2 and 14, causing concern for him, his maid, and residents.
In an interview with Channel 7, Paisit stated that he operated the building as an office for his company’s employees and also used it as a bedroom on certain occasions.
Paisit explained that his maid discovered evidence of the theft while working at 9am on October 3. The thief cut off the security camera system, making it unclear when he entered the office. The maid found Paisit’s belongings and office supplies scattered across the floor, with losses and damages amounting to about 50,000 baht.
Another theft occurred around 12.03am on October 14, and this time CCTV cameras managed to capture the thief. The suspect was naked, and described as a thin, tall man with a skinhead haircut and dragon tattoos on his back and left arm.
The naked thief accessed Paisit’s office through an abandoned building nearby. He broke into the third floor of Paisit’s building and began searching for valuables. The thief appeared relaxed and calm, even stopping on the first floor to enjoy a soft drink and coffee on the sofa.

He was seen on the security camera in the meeting room at approximately 12.26am This time, he was wearing jeans and carrying a backpack. He was observed placing a Buddha statue and other items into the bag before moving to Paisit’s bedroom.
The suspect selected Paisit’s clothes and continued changing until he found his preferred outfit. He also took awards and other commemorative plaques with him.
Paisit revealed that the thief attempted to steal his television but failed because it was too large. The suspect left the television on the window ledge of the third floor. The total losses from the two robberies amounted to over 200,000 baht.
Paisit stated that the naked thief instilled fear not only in him but also in his maid and residents, particularly women. His maid has since stopped coming to work following the incident.
Paisit could not understand the reason behind the thief stripping naked but urged police to arrest the man as quickly as possible for the safety of the community, in order to protect against thefts and potential sexual assaults.
