An unnamed foreign man caused chaos in a beauty salon in the Siam Square shopping area near Siam BTS Station in Bangkok on Tuesday , September 3. No one was injured during the incident.

A worker at the salon shared a video of the incident on his TikTok account, @oleallstar777, on Tuesday, with the caption: “Warning! Mad foreigner on a rampage at a beauty salon in Siam.” The video was later deleted from the account but many Thai news agencies shared it.

The video showed the shirtless foreign man walking directly into the bathroom at the back of the salon. He returned to the cashier counter wearing a black rubbish bag around his neck.

Two or three police officers arrived at the salon to apprehend the foreign man but he resisted, sweeping beauty products from the shelves behind the counter onto the floor.

The foreigner then tried to flee from the salon as police and security guards worked together to apprehend him before the video ended.

The salon worker later gave an interview to Channel 7, explaining that the foreign man stood outside the salon at about 3pm. He stared into the salon for a while before entering. Salon staff greeted him, as they would to any potential customer, but he did not respond.

The man walked straight to the bathroom at the back of the salon and emptied the contents of the bin. He then grabbed a rubbish bag, put it over his head, and left it hanging around his neck.

Workers and clients were shocked, with some fleeing the salon. The foreigner then exited the bathroom and began acting violently, as seen in the video.

The worker stated that it was fortunate the man was unarmed and no one was hurt during the incident.

Channel 7 reported that police took the foreigner to the station, though it remains unclear whether he will face any legal punishment.
