301 ‘lucky number plates’ up for bidding

The Phuket Land Transport Office announced the auction of 301 plates with ‘lucky numbers’. The profit from the auction will be donated to the road accident victims fund.

The Chief of Phuket Land Transport Office, Banyat Kanta, said that the 13th auction will kick off on March 3 – 4 at the conference room of Phuket’s Rajabhat University.

“This will help raise fund for the road accident victims program and will be spent on the campaigns aiming to reduce road accidents in every province. This time the category is Gor Gai Wor Waen (กว) which represents the improvement in career, fortune and virtue.”

“We would like to invite all auctioneers to join. This year is the first time that we provide a home registration service. You can just call 1584 and we will bring the registration to your home or workplace. Last year, the lucky number auction raised 26 million Baht and we expect to raise even more this year,” he said.
