The Thai Meteorological Department (TMD) announced today that temperatures in the upper part of Thailand will slightly increase, with morning fog expected. Meanwhile, the Thailand weather forecast predicts that southern regions face heavy rainfall, leading to high sea waves. The public is warned of potential flash floods and forest runoffs, particularly today.

The prevailing high-pressure system or cold mass that had been covering Thailand is gradually weakening. This results in slightly increased temperatures in the upper part of the country, accompanied by morning fog. However, the northeast remains cool to cold in the morning.

The north, central region, including Bangkok and its vicinity, the east, and the upper south, experience cool morning weather. People in these areas are advised to look after their health due to the cold weather and to beware of potential dangers from fire incidents due to dry weather conditions. Caution is also recommended when travelling through areas with fog.

The moderately strong easterly monsoon prevails over the Gulf of Thailand and the South, leading to heavy to very heavy rainfall in the lower southern region. Sea waves in the Gulf of Thailand are expected to rise 2 to 3 metres high, and in storm areas, waves could exceed 3 metres. The Andaman Sea will see waves about 1 metre high and in storm areas, waves could exceed 2 metres.
