Phuket’s high life: Amari Residences aim high in Patong

PHUKET: Just when you think that it’s simply impossible to develop Patong further, there comes a company that does just that. And in the case of Amari Phuket, it’s done with style. The Amari Residences complex, rising quickly over Patong Bay, is set to take the game up a notch.

“Amari Residences are the only luxury residences in the highly-developed Patong area,” says Avirud Diskul, a property consultant at Knight Frank, the consultancy firm representing the Amari brand. Indeed, walking around the complex, one gets a feeling of being high above the rest.

Located on a hillside just south of Patong Bay, Amari Residences will comprise 184 units on 18 rai of land. The development is divided into three phases.

“Phase one and two consist of 148 units, of which 118 are one bedroom and only 30 are two bedrooms,” explains Mr Avirud. “One-bedroom units are sized between 44 and 52 square meters, costing from 10 to 12 million baht, while the two bedroom units measure from 92 to 102sqm and are priced between 20 and 23mn baht,” he explains.

All are furnished with exclusive furniture packages from Chanint Living.

The first two phases are aimed at investors who are interested in entering into a long-term
investment program.

“The investment program runs for 15 years and offers three years of guaranteed 6% return, after which it will be based on actual revenue, expected to reach between 6% and 8%,” says Mr Avirud.

The owners will also have the right to stay at their properties for 60 days a year, with all hotel services included.

“On top of that, they will receive a 20% discount on all food and beverage and spa services,” adds Mr Avirud.

Phase three of the development will be a non-investment option of exclusive residences, with one-bedroom units measuring from 70 to 77sqm priced at about 17mn baht, and the two-bedroom residences of 140sqm costing about 35mn baht.

“Seventy per cent of the whole project has been sold already,” says Mr Avirud.

A quick glance at the show units reveals what future owners can expect. Spacious interiors, tasteful design and impressive views are what sets Amari Residences apart.

“These are low-rise buildings focused on providing maximum privacy and a sizeable, uncluttered living space,” says Mr Avirud.

What the buyers will also receive in exchange for their investment is access to the projects amenities, including a club house, located on top of the development which offers a 270-degree sea view, as well as a pool bar and restaurant with all-day dining.

Amari Residences will be offering full hotel services to guests, such as a 24-hour concierge service and a number of transportation options that include an electric buggy to move around the property, valet parking and an hourly shuttle bus to the Jungceylon shopping center.

Factor in the stunning views from the hill, as well as lush green foliage surrounding the property, and you get a Patong development that stands out from the crowd – in a good way.

When completed in December 2015, Amari Residences will be something that Patong can be proud of.
