Thai ladyboy steals motorbike key in Phuket home invasion
A woman in Phuket experienced a frightening encounter when a ladyboy, apparently under the influence of drugs, entered her home uninvited and demanded the key to her motorbike. When she refused, the individual stole the key and, after a confrontation with a group of young males, fled the scene.
The incident gained public attention after Facebook user Earn PhimPhattha shared an 18-second CCTV video with the caption, “A drug-addicted transgender woman came out of nowhere and asked for the motorbike key,” around 10.30pm on Sunday, September 8.
CCTV footage showed a transgender woman in a white tube top and pink shorts entering the house. Reporters visited the scene on Monday, opposite the Thalang branch of National Telecom (formerly TOT) in Moo 1, Thepkrasattri.
The Facebook user, Earn explained that the incident occurred on Sunday. Earn’s 19 year old sister was with her four year old nephew in the house when a ladyboy, approximately 30 years old, arrived around 9.08pm and requested the key to her sister’s small red motorbike parked in front of the house. When she refused, the transgender woman left but returned around 9.31pm on a small green motorbike.
This time, the ladyboy allegedly entered the house, rummaged through drawers, and took the motorbike key. The nephew saw the individual, prompting Earn’s sister to quickly call her mother and brother-in-law for help.
The brother-in-law arrived and confronted the ladyboy, asking, “What are you doing here?”
The ladyboy attempted to flee on the green motorbike but was stopped when the brother-in-law pulled it over, causing it to fall. The ladyboy then fled on foot, with the brother-in-law giving chase but returning alone shortly after.
Thalang Police officers arrived and arrested the transgender woman, who appeared to be high on drugs, according to Earn. However, while officers were preparing to take the individual to the police station for testing, the ladyboy seized the moment to escape on the green motorbike, stating, “I’ll go myself.”
Police later confirmed, through licence plate photos, that the green motorbike belonged to the transgender individual’s mother. Following the incident, Earn was advised to bring CCTV evidence to file a formal complaint against the ladyboy, reported Phuket News.
