Wachira seeks cash for equipment

PHUKET TOWN: Wachira Phuket Hospital is seeking donations so that it can buy medical equipment worth more than 10 million baht. Wachira Phuket Hospital has 522 beds for patients from Phuket and nearby provinces including Phang Nga, Krabi and Ranong. Visiting foreigners also go there for treatment. The equipment needed includes nine respirators for infants and four for children and adults, and two pieces of surgical equipement used for cranial operations. The total cost is 10.3 million baht. People wishing to donate may transfer money direct to Wachira via account number 495-2-0797-8 at Thai Military Bank, Wachira Hospital Branch, on Yaowarat Rd. Copies of bank statements, with names and addresses, should then be forwarded to Jansiri Suntorntip at the Buddhist Monk building, Wachira Phuket Hopital, Yaowarat Rd, Tambon Taladyai, Muang, Phuket 83000. Donors will receive letters of thanks.
