QSI Phuket Fun Run all set for go tomorrow
PHUKET: Athletes across the island and families who just like enjoying walks are getting ready for the Quality Schools International (QSI) Phuket 10th Annual Fun Run on Saturday, March 10, starting at 9am and jogging on to 1pm.
The traditional 1km, 6km, 12km individual and team runs are ready for the off, while food, drink and games will also be in abundance for the whole family to enjoy.
A course has been set around Bang Wad Dam, with registration beginning there at 8am and races due to start at 9am.
Medals will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishers in each race for each age category, both males and females.
Saturday schedule:
8:00-9:00 Race registration at the Dam (pre-registration available at QSI premises)
9:00-10:30 12km / 6km races
Age categories: 0-10, 11-14, 15-24, 25 and older
10:30 1 km races (4 heats)
Age categories: 0-7, 8-12, 13-17,18 and older
11:30 Awards for 12km and 6km races
12:00 6 km Team Challenge Relay Race (Teams of 4)
1:00pm Awards for 1 km and 6 km relay
Entry fee is 100 baht per student runner. All races are open to the general public and we invite all runners to run as individuals or to enter the Team Challenge race.
The entry fee for over 18s is 150 baht per runner.
A raffle and silent auction will be part of the day along with a jumping castle and entertainment to make this a great family day for all ages.
