THALANG: A policeman’s wife used her husband’s own pistol to shoot him dead yesterday morning after they had a heated argument near the Sarasin Bridge. Pratheuang “Tim” Saesue, 45, shot Pol Sgt Maj Siripong Aimjad, 35, of Tah Chat Chai Police Station, at 10 am in front of many witnesses. She did not try to flee the scene. Pol Lt Seksan Kongsakorn, of Tah Chat Chai Police Station, told the Gazette that Tim explained to police that she had gone out early that morning to sell drinking water to fishing boats. “Tim was working at the southern end of the northbound bridge when Sgt Maj Siripong pulled up in his pick-up. He got out and started shouting and abusing her in front of many local residents. “After about 30 minutes of arguing, Tim opened the door to the car she was using and pulled out Sgt Maj Siripong’s .38 service revolver, which was behind the driver’s seat. She then turned around and shot him once on the right side of his chest.” The Sgt Maj was rushed to hospital but died on the way. Lt Seksan said K. Tim told officers that the couple had a long history of personal problems. She was charged with murder and is being held at Tah Chat Chai Police Station.
