Phuket’s Amy Jacobs recovering from car crash
PHUKET CITY: The condition of television actress Ameria ‘Amy’ Jacobs continues to improve and she is conscious and breathing on her own.
A mass-circulation Thai-language daily newspaper yesterday quoted staff at Bumrungrad Hospital in Bangkok as saying that Amy has been taken off a respirator and was responding to verbal commands.
Her father Jan Jacobs confirmed this, telling the Gazette her condition continues to improve daily.
He also thanked the Gazette readership for their concern.
As Miss Teen Thailand 2006, Amy parlayed that success into an acting career.
She is well-known to Thai audiences through her role as the star of Thidawanorn 2 (Monkey’s Daughter, Part 2), a popular comedy-drama on Channel 7 in which she plays a human raised by apes.
