Phuket government offices to close for Mother’s Day
PHUKET: All Thai government offices, including Phuket Immigration, will be closed August 12 and 13 for the birthday of HM Queen Sirikit.
Her Majesty’s birthday on August 12 is also celebrated as Mother’s Day in Thailand.
“Our office will be closed on August 12 and 13, and will reopen on August 16,” Phuket Immigration Chief Col Panuwat Ruamrak confirmed to the Gazette.
Thai embassies and consulates abroad will also be closed August 12.
Gazette readers are advised to check with their local embassy or consulate to confirm whether it will be closed on August 13.
