Phuket United beat Lampang United

PHUKET: Phuket United beat Lampang United 7-3 in their third home game of the Thai Futsal Premier League (TFPL) season on January 2.

The match was played in front of 600 supporters at the 4,000-seat Indoor Sports Complex at Saphan Hin.

Before the game, Phuket United’s head coach Suphol Senapeng told the Phuket Gazette: “Our main objective for this game is concentration since Lampang United have experience in the Thai Futsal Premier League.”

Saharat Inpan scored the first goal for Phuket United in the 11th minute. A goal apiece from Jardel de Andrade Apolonio and Akkadet Chuayklay put Phuket United into a 3-0 lead at half-time.

The Andaman Pearl continued their relentless attack in the second half, with Jackson Santos and an own goal putting Phuket United 5-0 up after 25 minutes.

Lampang United scored three goals in three minutes to bring the game to life before Jackson Santos and Benjarong Panphob ensured a comprehensive victory for the Andaman Pearl.

After the game, Patt Srivijit, Phuket United’s assistant coach spoke about what the victory over Lampang United means: “Today our team gave a big gift to the supporters of Phuket United for the New Year.”

Phuket United will unveil their new Brazilian signing on January 5. Marcos, a 27-year-old winger, will replace the departed Rogerio Moreira.

Phuket United’s next home game at Saphan Hin is against Royal Navy on January 5 at 7pm.
