Phuket Sports: FC Phuket draw 1-1 at JW Rangsit
PHUKET: FC Phuket again failed to achieve their first win in an away match this season, though came from behind to grab a point against JW Rangsit with a 1-1 draw yesterday .
Phuket went into the match ninth on the table and had a solid 3-1 home win over 11th-place Rangsit under their belt. The Phuket squad came out in attacking mode, but despite several fine scoring chances it was Rangsit who drew first blood in the 35th minute when Suphachai Maiyong coverted on a nice pass by Mongkon Nokkasak.
FC Phuket equalized just two minutes later when Jongrak Pakdee deflected a long ball down the left side by Wacharapong Jun-ngan. Jongrak was later named “Man of the Match”.
Despite some exciting play, neither side was able to find the back of the net for the remainder of the game. Phuket retained the dubious distinction of being the only team in Division One to fail to record a win on the road.
The game moved FC Phuket into eighth place on the table going into today, when six more Division One games are scheduled.
