PRBC seeks blood donations for holiday season
PHUKET: As the holiday season draws closer, the Phuket Regional Blood Center (PRBC) is asking residents to donate blood to ensure an adequate supply is available for hospitals to deal with emergencies.
“We believe that blood supply will be not be able to meet demand, especially due to an anticipated increase in injuries from accidents during the holidays,” said Pornthip Rattajak, chief of the PRBC. “We need all blood types, but we especially would like those with Rhesus-negative (Rh-) blood groups to step forward.”
Those interested in donating blood can do so at one of the mobile donation clinics that will be set up around the island at the following locations:
December 15: Angsana Laguna Phuket, Thalang, 10am-3pm
December 17: Deevana Plaza Phuket, Patong, 1pm-4pm
December 23: Phuket Rajabhat University, 10am-5:30pm
December 24: Samkong Tesco Lotus, 12pm-6pm
December 25: Central Festival Phuket, 12pm-6pm
December 28: Duangjit Resort, Patong, 10am-3pm
December 29: Phuket International Hospital, 1pm-4pm
December 30: PPAO Hospital, 10am-3pm
Siam Makro Company, near Central Festival Phuket, 1pm-4pm
