HRH Princess Chulabhorn to visit Phuket
PHUKET: HRH Princess Chulabhorn Valayalaksana will visit Phuket on Tuesday in support of the volunteers who provide free healthcare under the The Princess Mother’s Medical Volunteer Foundation.
The foundation is renowned for providing free general healthcare and critically needed medical services to people who otherwise could not afford it.
Princess Chulabhorn will arrive at Baan Sapam Mongkol Wittaya School by helicopter at 2pm, Phuket Provincial Health Office Chief Dr Sak Tanchaikul told the Phuket Gazette today.
“About 50 medical volunteers from Vachira Phuket, Patong and Thalang Hospitals will join a medical team from Chulabhorn Research Institute at a mobile clinic at the school from 9am to midday,” he said.
“The team welcomes all patients seeking healthcare, and anyone who would like to welcome Her Royal Highness will be allowed into the school,” Dr Sak said.
The princess will leave the school at about 3pm. She will be escorted by motorcade to Phuket International Airport, where she will board a flight to Bangkok.
The visit to Phuket will follow similar visits by Princess Chulabhorn to foundation volunteers in Krabi and Phang Nga provinces.
Princess Chulabhorn will arrive at Krabi International Airport at 2pm tomorrow.
She will spend the night at the Royal Palace at Laem Hang Nak, before visiting volunteers in Krabi on Sunday and returning to the palace on Sunday night.
The princess will visit medical volunteers in Phang Nga province on Monday, and return to the Laem Hang Nak palace on Monday night.
