PHUKET: Coming off a tough 2-0 home loss to Yala, Phuket’s proud new football club, FC Phuket, regrouped with a 5-1 win at home over hapless Chumphon FC yesterday.

FC Phuket took the lead 18 minutes into play with a nice left-footed shot from in front of the goal by Sarach Yooyen.

Some scrappy play ensued, with Thawin Butrsombat suffering a dislocated shoulder at 27 minutes.

Phuket FC went up 2-0 at 30 minutes with a header in the penalty area by Pramat Kongborisut that sent “The Hulk” cheering section at Surakul Stadium into a frenzy.

Chumpon drew back 2-1 with a goal before halftime, but it was all Phuket FC in the second half, scoring at 56 minutes, 71 minutes and adding a final goal in extra time.

Mayor Aroon ordered both the Nai Harn and Ya Nui beaches closed until further notice. Noul crossed over the Vietnamese coastline […]

But the remnants of the storm won’t “slam” into Northern Thailand as one news site claimed – rather it will be a lot of rain and increased winds. The storm is expected to cross into Thailand around the Mukdahan province some time early tomorrow, Around the country, Saturday will be the […]
