FC Phuket crush Chumphon FC, 5-1
PHUKET: Coming off a tough 2-0 home loss to Yala, Phuket’s proud new football club, FC Phuket, regrouped with a 5-1 win at home over hapless Chumphon FC yesterday.
FC Phuket took the lead 18 minutes into play with a nice left-footed shot from in front of the goal by Sarach Yooyen.
Some scrappy play ensued, with Thawin Butrsombat suffering a dislocated shoulder at 27 minutes.
Phuket FC went up 2-0 at 30 minutes with a header in the penalty area by Pramat Kongborisut that sent “The Hulk” cheering section at Surakul Stadium into a frenzy.
Chumpon drew back 2-1 with a goal before halftime, but it was all Phuket FC in the second half, scoring at 56 minutes, 71 minutes and adding a final goal in extra time.

In other Thai League Division 2 (South) games played yesterday, Yala FC continued in good form with a 3-0 home win over Phang Nga FC, while Krabi FC and Surat Thani FC played to a 1-1 draw.
