Dynamic Without Fins competition next in the Phuket Suunto Series
PHUKET: The We Freedive Suunto Series continues this Sunday at Phuket Country Home in Chalong as competitors line up to participate in the “Dynamic Without Fins (DNF)” event.
The event will be monitored by Association Internationale pour le Developpement de l’Apnee (AIDA) judges Sarah Whitcher and Richard Wonka. All competitors’ results will be entering the AIDA International ranking list.
Those participating in the DNF competition will attempt, in a controlled manner, to travel the farthest distance horizontally underwater without any propulsion aids.
“Dynamic without fins is the most natural of… disciplines measuring [horizontal] distance for many freedivers, because it doesn’t need any propulsing material, but very good technique,” says the AIDA website.
Those wanting to participate in the event, or future Suunto Series events, can register at WeFreedive.org
