Cobra slithers into Phuket kitchen
PHUKET: A two-meter-long cobra chased a terrified homeowner out of her kitchen last week.
The woman, who declined to be named, immediately fled her kitchen, closing the door behind her before calling the Kusoldharm Foundation.
“At first, when we arrived, we couldn’t find the snake in the kitchen,” said Kusoldharm Foundation rescue worker Sakun Naepnean. “However, after moving the fridge, we were able to find the snake hiding in the motor area.”
The team was able to quickly bag the venomous snake. It was later released at Bang Wad Dam.
“This snake may have entered the house through a window. Please be careful, especially if you live in a house near jungle or unkempt properties,” Mr Sakun said. “Make sure you close windows and doors properly before leaving your house.”
Last week, a woman found herself face to face with a man-sized cobra when she went to hang up laundry at her house in Pruksa Ville (story here).
The Kusoldharm Foundation can be reached 24-hours-a-day at 076-246 301.
