Bangladeshi found stabbed to death

PHUKET TOWN: The body of an unidentified man was found floating yesterday in the fishing port on Soi Si Sena. Pol Maj Wichacom Kumjompa of Phuket Town Police Station said that the victim had been dead at least 48 hours. He is estimated to have been between 25 and 30 years old, and had tattoos on his shoulders that suggested he came from Bangladesh. Examination of the corpse showed that the man died from some 35 stab wounds to the chest and back. Maj Wichacom said the wounds appeared to have been inflicted with a sharpened steel reinforcing bar. He added that investigators believe the victim was probably from a fishing boat and had been killed during a brawl, then thrown into the water.
