Angel Airlines Takes Flight
PHUKET: Thailand’s newest carrier, Angel Airlines, has announced its schedule of domestic and international flights originating from Phuket, Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Hat Yai, Udon Thani and Singapore. Earlier this year, the airline was named the country’s second national carrier, joining Thai Airways International. From Phuket, there are three destinations, each of which is non-stop. These are Bangkok, on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday evenings; Chiang Mai, on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday mornings; and Singapore, on Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings as well as Saturday afternoons. Return service to Phuket from Bangkok is offered on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday mornings; from Chiang Mai on Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoons and Saturday mornings; and from Singapore on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday evenings. The airline has announced the following fares: Phuket-Bangkok, 1,890 baht one-way and 3,650 baht round-trip; Phuket-Chiang Mai, 2,990 one-way and 5,850 round-trip; and Phuket-Singapore, 2,990 and 4,950 baht for one-way and round-trip, respectively. The new carrier’s routes into and out of Phuket are served by a Boeing 737. Angel Airlines has established an office on the second floor of the Phuket International Airport terminal, (Tel: 351337/8).
