Parents say their daughter’s been kidnapped. Police have other ideas.
The parents of a 14 year old schoolgirl missing for the past two weeks have now filed a complaint with the Crime Suppression Division (CSD), saying they are convinced she’s been kidnapped.
They say their daughter last used social media in Rayong province (east of Pattaya) on December 28, the day after she vanished. A police source has revealed they had evidence the girl appears to have taken extra clothes with her and was living in another province, having been taken by a man she knew.
The source says the girl had left a note where she complained of being “tired and under tremendous stress from her family”.
Her parents say they haven’t heard anything from either the girl or anyone with her since she left Sai Panya School in Bangkok in a tuk-tuk, according to CCTV footage, and disappeared. It appears her disappearance came after she chatted with someone on social media.
At first the family thought the studious girl, who had no boyfriend and hadn’t had a fight with any family members, might have run away to be with friends for the New Year holidays.
Although they initially filed a missing person report with the Plappachai 1 police station, they had hoped she would return after the holidays but she never did.
Her friends also say she hasn’t been with any of them.
