Weather warnings out for mid-week

The Meteorological Department is warning people living in the East and Lower North-east regions of Thailand to be mindful of rain-related dangers. The TMD is forecasting heavy rains in those regions until September 29.

Bangkok and adjacent provinces are expecting rain to fall on 40 per cent of the area today.

The weather bureau has also issued warnings for fishermen in the Andaman Sea, including the waters around Phuket, saying waves could reach two metres in height from September 27 to 29.

People planning to travel to Taiwan between September 28 and 30 were advised to closely monitor weather updates because Typhoon Trami was on its way and could affect travel into the region. On its current track, Trami is tracking for the northern tip of The Philippines.
