Teenage Thai drone racer Milk clinches third world title

In an impressive display of talent and determination, Waranya Wannaphong, affectionately known as “Milk” in the drone racing world, once again soared to victory, securing her third-world drone racing championship title.

This remarkable achievement has not only brought honour to her native Thailand but has solidified her status as a formidable competitor in the international drone racing arena. Recognized by her stoic and unsmiling demeanour, even in the face of victory, Milk continues to shine on the global stage.

Competing under the banner of the Thai Aeronautics and Aviation Sports Association, Milk clinched the top spot in the female individual category at the prestigious 2023 World Drone Racing Championship hosted in Namwon, South Korea. This remarkable accomplishment not only highlights her exceptional skills but also underscores her unwavering dedication to her craft.

The championship was nothing short of fierce, attracting more than 115 FPV (First Person View) athletes from an impressive array of 29 countries worldwide. Organized by the International Aeronautics Sports Federation (FAI), the event provided a platform for the world’s finest drone racers to showcase their prowess.

Milk emerged triumphant, adding another illustrious title to her growing list of achievements. Her victory earned her a substantial cash prize of 218,682 baht, equivalent to 8 million won, a testament to her exceptional talent and commitment.
