A video went viral yesterday showing a posh sedan owner brandishing a pistol to threaten repossession officials, before speeding off. The video was posted to Twitter by user Red Skull. In it, viewers could see a debt collection agency attempting to seize a luxurious car due after consecutive defaults on instalment payments.

The attempt was thwarted when the in-debt owner of the fancy red car showed up and began threatening the repo officials. The angry man then hopped in his luxury car and fled the scene in the vehicle.

As shown in the clip, the finance company’s staff were preparing to seize a red Mustang. They were affixing papers on the car’s doors, front and rear hoods, as well as the fuel tank. This process is intended to prepare the vehicle for repossession and serves as a deterrent for any unauthorized use as it is then awkward at best to drive the vehicle around town.

But in an unpredicted turn of events,, the car’s owner arrived at the scene in the middle of the stickering. He furiously ripped off the papers stuck on one of the doors. When repossession officers attempted to intervene, the enraged man displayed a pistol, causing the officers to back down. He quickly jumped into his luxury red Mustang and sped away.

One of the shell-shocked female finance officials expressed that they would be filing a police report. The firearm incident was captured on video which spread widely across social media platforms without delay, reports KhaoSod Online. The female officer can be heard on the video confirming she would take legal action.

“This will be reported to the authorities. We got the gun on tape.”

Maybe there’s something about red cars that bring out the gun threats in people. A few years ago, a video of a man driving a red sedan and waving a gun out of the driver’s window in Phuket spread around social media after a driver following recorded the incident and posted it. That one turned out to be a BB gun.
