Chiang Mai University tops regional state rankings

Chiang Mai University has been named the most popular regional state university in Thailand this year, according to the latest uniRank rankings. The rankings, which evaluate universities based on website popularity, were released today.

UniRank evaluates university popularity based on three main criteria: website popularity, accuracy and completeness of information, and the frequency of updated news. These comprehensive criteria ensure that the universities listed are not only prominent in academia but also maintain a strong online presence.

The top 10 regional state universities in Thailand for 2024 include Chiang Mai University at the top, followed by Prince of Songkla University, Khon Kaen University, Burapha University, Naresuan University, Suranaree University of Technology, Walailak University, Ubon Ratchathani University, Maejo University, and Mahasarakham University.

Chiang Mai University’s top ranking reflects its significant online engagement and the comprehensive and regularly updated information available on its website. The university’s commitment to providing accurate and up-to-date information has paid off, securing it the highest spot on the list.

Suranaree University of Technology, recognised for its innovative approaches to education, is in sixth place.
