The Thaiger is hiring a digitally-savvy AI-Assisted News Creator to help power our next-gen newsroom. This isn’t traditional journalism. We’re looking for someone who knows how to leverage AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and other content-generation platforms to produce timely, engaging, and optimised news articles at scale.
You don’t need a journalism degree or years of newsroom experience. What you do need is strong AI literacy, a solid understanding of what makes content rank and engage online (SEO), and the speed and judgment to stay on top of trending stories across Thailand and the world.
This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced digital environment, is curious about new tech, and is excited to work at the intersection of news, tech, and audience growth.

Key responsibilities
AI-driven content production
- Master the art of prompt engineering to direct AI tools like ChatGPT in efficiently researching, drafting, and structuring high-quality news articles ready for editorial review.
- Fact-check, edit, and refine AI-generated copy to ensure accuracy, clarity, and brand tone.
- Spot breaking or trending stories and use AI to spin up quick-turnaround content.
- Write click-worthy headlines and summaries that perform well on search and social.
SEO & digital optimisation
- Optimise articles for Google Search, Google Discover, and social media platforms.
- Use tools like Google Trends, Ahrefs, and Analytics to guide daily content priorities.
- Stay up to date with algorithm changes and platform trends.
News judgment & editorial oversight
- Follow Thai and global news to identify stories our readers care about.
- Apply basic editorial standards to ensure legal compliance (defamation, PDPA, etc.).
- Ensure content meets our editorial tone and style, adhering to our SOP and continually improving upon it.
Cross-team collaboration
- Coordinate with social, video, and content teams to distribute content across all channels.
- Help repurpose stories into formats suitable for TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, etc.
What we’re looking for
- Proven experience using AI tools (especially ChatGPT) for content creation.
- Digital-first mindset with a strong understanding of SEO, trends, and audience engagement.
- Familiarity with WordPress or other CMS platforms.
- Able to write, edit, and think fast – you’ll be publishing daily.
- English fluency required; Thai language skills a plus.
- Bonus: Interest in tech, memes, or Thailand news is always welcome.
