Tractor overturns in Suphan Buri, killing driver in rice field
A tragic accident occurred when a tractor driver lost control of his vehicle, resulting in it overturning and falling into a rice field ditch, fatally trapping the driver underneath. The incident took place yesterday in the vicinity of Ban Tha Thong, Moo 3, Pak Nam subdistrict, Doem Bang Nang Buat district, Suphan Buri province.
Police Lieutenant Phanuwat Sitwong from Doem Bang Nang Buat Police Station was notified of the accident and proceeded to the scene with rescue personnel from the Sameo Kan Foundation and a duty doctor from Doem Bang Nang Buat Hospital.
Upon arrival, the team discovered a large overturned agricultural tractor with the body of a man pinned beneath it. The victim was later identified as 58 year old Sutin. Despite the efforts of the rescue team to extract him from under the tractor, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigations revealed that Sutin had been driving his tractor from his home to work in the fields as part of his routine. It is believed that during the journey, the tractor hit a bump on the road, leading to the vehicle losing balance and overturning into a water-filled ditch in the rice field, tragically pinning Sutin underneath.
Rescue officials worked diligently to recover the body from the tractor, but despite their efforts, Sutin was already deceased, reported KhaoSod.
The police initially transported Sutin’s body to Doem Bang Nang Buat Hospital for a post-mortem examination to ascertain the exact cause of death.
