Ahh, another ordinary day in Thailand…

A druggie in central Thailand’s Suphan Buri province claims he hurled rocks at cars because ghosts and big cars were bullying him. Police arrested the man, Saranpat Boonchuay, on Monday night after two drivers in U Thong district complained that a man on a blue motorcycle had thrown rocks at their cars. A truck’s roof was dented and its windscreen shattered, while the other car’s roof was also dented.

The drivers led officers to the alleged rock thrower’s house nearby, where they found the blue motorcycle parked outside. Saranpat was hiding in a mango tree. He refused to come down and said that big cars and ghosts were bullying him.

The officers worked for an hour to calm the troubled man down when they finally convinced him to climb down from the tree. The police then found Saranpat to be a drug addict (shocker). The officers took Saranpat to U Thong Police Station, where he was initially charged with consuming narcotics and causing damage to other people’s property. Investigators have said they will summon other victims for questioning and take further legal action.
