Toons Tunes – John Legend & The Roots “Wake Up Everybody”

Checking new and amazing music for The Thaiger everyday with Donna Toon

I was lucky enough to venture up to Bangkok on the weekend with my girlfriends to see John Legend at Bitec. He was nothing short of incredible. Backed by a full band, horn section and back up singers, the American singer and songwriter is the full package, talented, full of charisma and moves as well as easy on the eye!

He warmed the crowd not only with his soulful singing but impressing us with his Thai phrases, of course married to supermodel Chrissy Teigan who is half Thai and half Norwegian helped with this.

He has amassed a string of awards since the release of his number one single “All of Me” in 2013, including an Academy Award for Best Original Song in 2015 for “Glory” from the movie Selma, and ten Grammy Awards and also a Golden Globe.
