7-year-old girl drowns in Tanjung Sepat water park pool

A tragic incident occurred at a water theme park in Tanjung Sepat, Banting, where a seven-year-old girl drowned in a pool. The Kuala Langat district police chief, Ahmad Ridhwan Mohd Nor, reported that a passerby discovered the unconscious victim at 1.28pm.

According to the police chief, the young girl was playing in the pool with her eight-year-old sister when the accident happened. The passerby informed the victim’s father about the situation, and the girl was subsequently rushed to Banting Hospital by ambulance. Unfortunately, she was later confirmed to have died due to drowning.

The case is currently being investigated under Section 33 of the Child Act 2001. In light of this tragic event, Ahmad Ridhwan Mohd Nor urged the public, particularly parents and guardians, to ensure that children under their care are not left unsupervised to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future.
