Valentine’s marriage registration at Phuket District Office

The Phuket District Office welcomed couples that came to register their marriage during the ‘day of love’.
The Vice Governor Sanit Srivihok chaired the opening ceremony and was the witness for the registration of this year’s marrying couples. The first couple of this year was the Wichit sub-district chief, Chusak Ayupong, and his wife.
“We expect at least 100 couples to sign their marriage registration documents today. This event aims to help strengthen the family structure and to encourage the couples to see the importance of marriage registration, making the wedding legally official and help the couple realise the rights and duties they have to each other. We also offer a little souvenir to each couple,” said Muang Phuket District Chief, Acting Second Lieutenant Wikorn Jakti.
Apart from Muang Phuket District Office, the Valentine’s marriage registration is also available in Kathu and Thalang District Office.
