Three Germans arrested on paedophile, theft charges

BANGKOK (AFP): Three German fugitives, wanted on a range of serious charges including child rape, theft and murder, have been arrested at the seaside resort of Pattaya, police said this afternoon. Thai immigration police said the three men were detained separately over the weekend. Jahn Robert, 37, faces two paedophile charges after attacks on children in Munich. Heinz-Peter Ohlenschlager, 52, is accused of fleeing to Thailand after swindling 22 million baht (655,000 dollars). Knut Helmut Hienrich Goeffringmann, 36, who police said was a drug addict, is accused of stealing three AK-47 rifles and the attempted murder of a Turkish man in 1998.
