Sheraton to host 44th ASEAN Education Ministers Conference
PHUKET: The 44th ASEAN Education Ministers meeting will take place at the Sheraton Grande Laguna Phuket from April 5 to 9.
The announcement was made on January 27 at Phuket Rajabhat University in Rassada after Thai Education Ministry officials conducted a site visit and held discussions with local venue operators.
Deputy Permanent Secretary to the Education Ministry Sriwikar Mektawatwaikul held a meeting with related officials in Phuket as part of preparations to host the meeting.
Mr Sriwikar asked that the local government authorities and officials be good hosts and help attend to the needs of the participants.
Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva will preside over the opening ceremony of the 14th ASEAN Summit, which will be held from February 27 to March 1 in Hua Hin, Prachuab Kirikhan province.
